Since the fall of 2003, Toronto Haidong Gumdo Dojang has been the home to more than 200 enthusiastic martial artists in GTA. Haidong Gumdo is not like a typical martial art in which one just learns how to punch or kick. In fact, you won't learn how to punch or kick in our classes. Instead, you will learn the way of sword. One aspect of Haidong Gumdo training is self-defense but there is so much more in a traditional martial art than simple fighting techniques.

In your training, you will learn the important traditional values such as loyalty, filial piety, etiquette, integrity, trust, courage and endurance. You will significantly improve your physical ability, health and mental power. Most of all, you will meet wonderful people with whom you can share ideas, values, laughter and even sorrow in rough times.

I feel very previleged to be able to offer this great martial art to you.
